The two, rather calm villages Obergurgl (1,930 m) and Hochgurgl (2,150 m) are to be found at the end of the Ötz Valley on the high alpine road to the Timmelsjoch. Obergurgl is traffic-reduced, at night all driving is completely forbidden! Doorstep skiing is possible in both resorts.
