Surrounded by eighteen 4,000 m peaks, the panoramic view of the Saas Valley is magnificent! The lift systems reach up to 3,600 m altitude and offers access to a total of 145 km of piste of all levels of difficulty. The well-known Metro Alpin, the world's highest underground funicular, takes you underneath the glacier right up to the Mittelallain where a spectacular mountain backdrop awaits you. The ski area is also very attractive for international guests, as e.g. the FIS snowboarding world cup , the spectacular Glacier Bike Downhill Race or the Allalin Race all take place here. The 4 lovely resorts at the foot of the pistes are all perfectly connected by buses, so you can commute and enjoy the skiing day to the fullest. Every resort has it's own flair. There are family-friendly and traditional resorts with cosy buildings in original local style, but there are also lively apres ski villages to visit. Diversity is sure to be found here!
