Location and facilities

The popular residences Le Domaine de l'Arselle are located in the chalet village Bachat-Bouloud in Chamrousse 1700. The buildings are located 50 - 600 m from the piste, and with the chairlift "L'Arselle" you have ideal access to the ski area of Chamrousse. In the middle of fragrant coniferous forests you can enjoy the wonderful view on the massive Taillefer. Shops are located close by and in Chamrousse 1750 (approx. 500 m), you can find various shops, bars and cafés.

The heated outdoor pool, the jacuzzi, sauna and fitness room are located centrally in the complex and can be used for free (Sun. - Fri., 14:00 - 19:00, opening times subject to change, see further information in resort). In the neighbouring restaurant "Le Bachat" you also have access to wireless internet (free Wi-Fi only when ordering a drink or food). Free parking spaces and ski boxes are also available.

The cosy apartments have a living/sleeping area, separate bedrooms and in some cases a sleeping alcove. They also offer TV (for a fee), a fully equipped kitchenette with hob, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and coffee machine, as well as a bath or shower/wc (partly separate). Almost all apartments have a balcony or terrace.

Travel Info/Map

How does one best travel to France? The nearest airports are Grenoble and Chambéry (for the regions of Hautes Alpes, Isère, or Savoy). Nice is the nearest airport for Haute Provence. For air travel to Haute Savoy, the airports Annecy, Genève-Cointrin, Chambéry, or Geneva are also an option, depending on the resort. In France, there is rarely a train station in the resort; Chamonix is one of the few exceptions. The distances from the different train stations and airports to the resorts are shown above the map. Those travelling by car will find a link to a route planner in the lower lefthand corner of the map. Simply enter your origin location and a route will be calculated for you. Please note, that it is wise to be informed about the closure of mountain passes during the winter months! Please also take into consideration that your car is required to be equipped for winter conditions, and that you will need snow chains with you.

  • General information about travelling to Chamrousse: Please note that in the Grenoble region, starting from 01/04/2017, all vehicles that are not registered in France need to buy a Crit'Air-vignette (road tax). The vignette can only be ordered online, and will be sent within approx. 30 days to the address where the vehicle is registered. Should you only receive your vignette after your arrival in Chamrousse, the copy that you receive when ordering is enough. This is proof of your purchase, and needs to be presented in the event of a police check.
