Cross-country Ramsau am Dachstein

Ramsau am Dachstein is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in the Alps and offers an impressive network of trails with a total of 245 kilometres at all levels of difficulty. A special highlight is the 3 kilometre long night trail in the cross-country stadium in Ramsau Ort, which is illuminated daily until 9 pm. There is a separate cross-country park for children as well as the Nordic X-Park at the World Cup stadium.

The high altitude cross-country ski trail Rittisberg 1500 starts right at the mountain station of the Rittisberg combined lift. This moderately difficult cross-country trail runs at an altitude of around 1,500 metres around the peak of Ramsau's local mountain and offers 5.2 kilometres of the best conditions for both classic-style and skating-style cross-country skiers. Ten cross-country trails can be directly covered in snow, and if there is a lack of snow, there is another high altitude cross-country ski trail on the Dachstein glacier. Three cross-country skiing schools help beginners get started in Nordic winter sports.
