The "Dolce Vita" brings quite a special charm to the ski areas of and leaves its fascinating traces all over the place. This feeling passes on to the visitors who choose to spend their winter holiday in the Italian Alps. The largest interconnected lift system is the Dolomiti Superski with its never-ending 1,220 km of piste, which promises both beginners and pros breathtaking skiing enjoyment. Some of the most well-known ski areas in include Turin and Cortina d'Ampezzo thanks to the Winter Olympics, as well as Bormio as one of the venues for the Alpine Skiing World Championship. Livigno also offers numerous duty-free shopping opportunities that are worth checking out in your spare time. Ambitious skiers with plenty of stamina will love the Sella Ronda, a plateau-like massif in the Dolomites.
