With a maximum altitude of 1,277 m, the strongly alpine-style ski areas in the Scandinavian country is still characterised with a relatively good snow security, which extends from mid-November to the end of April. The ski areas of Åre and Sälen, each with about 100 km of piste, offer ideal conditions for both adults and children alike. Not just beginners and families will feel especially welcome here; experienced skiers will also find plenty to do in the ski areas. Tandådalen, for example, is a smaller section of Sälen and offers a diverse snow park, in which ambitious skiers feel right at home.
